NCAMN Trail Patrol
Volunteers clear and beautify 70 miles of local hiking trails annually and occasionally reroute, plan, and construct new trails.
The co-ed team meets during the cool months October-April, every other Thursday and first Saturdays, 20-25 outings. Some volunteers use chainsaws, trimmers, and blowers; while others use loppers or clippers, depending on preference, stamina, and certification. Typically, volunteers walk 3-4 miles in three-hour outings, or drive Kawasaki Mules on certain trails.
