Type of Project: Native seed collection – For Conway Library, Woolly Hollow &Toad Suck retired ball field.

Ashy will be our 1st focus but other varieties will likely catch our attention too.

Bring :(if you have them) small loppers or rose snips. If you have a receptacle that you can use for collecting seeds, please bring it. DIY options: clean out a milk jug, ice cream tub, or similar item. Cut an opening in the top for milk jugs or the like, and attach a strap or old belt to it so you can hang it around your frame while you collect. The strap is optional but allows for two-handed work.

No experience is necessary. Field worthy shoes. Tick repellent is advised. Sun protection. We will be walking in tall plants.

This sort of activity is weather dependent, so cancellation and rescheduling could be necessary. I would PAY to be rained out for another day – but it’s unlikely. We’ll probably just have heat.

From Conway, take I-40 West to Exit 84 and turn right on Bradley Cove Road (you will pass a large Flying J truck-stop on the right), approximately 1.5 miles, (across from a brand new Dollar General) turn right on Old Cove Road.
On Old Cove Rd, the 1st possible turn on the left is a neighbor. Left side turns #2 and #3 are both Larry’s. Use the 3rd turn in on your left (metal gate), this leads to Larry's Barn. The Pollinator Habitat sign marks #2 entry. The 3rd entry is about 300ft past #2, and leads to the barn.
