This is an ambassador/guide event. DLAMN members will have a chance to meet visitors to Garvan Gardens and offer insights into the flora and fauna that can be found within the garden and the state. We will also be free to walk around the garden or offer to lead visitors on a walk if they wish. If you have a topic you feel comfortable discussing, feel free to bring any materials on that topic with you.

We will meet at 9 am and stay until 11 am. We will usually meet somewhere near the center of the garden close to the pavilion. The garden staff provides an awning, chairs, and a table. You may wish to bring water and be sure to dress for the weather. Remember to wear your DLAMN name badge and hat or shirt. These hours count toward volunteer hours.

Important: Remember that you must complete a background check before you are allowed to volunteer in the garden. You may begin the background check process by going to the Garvan Woodland Gardens website and clicking on the volunteer tab. It may take a week to ten days to complete.
