It's time for the annual Great Arkansas Cleanup at Mount Nebo State Park! The state park is teaming up with Keep Arkansas Beautiful to host a cleanup event where volunteers from the community can help with trash and debris removal. This is also a great opportunity for FAMN to help keep our state parks beautiful!

Our existing projects at Mount Nebo include maintenance of wildflower beds behind the Visitor Center and chinquapin seedlings around the summit of the mountain. There are also additional projects at the park that FAMN can help with, including scouting out new areas for chinquapin and wildflower plantings, trail maintenance, removal of invasive species, etc.

I (Andrea, project coordinator) will talk to Superintendent Scott to see if he has anything specific he would like FAMN to focus on, and I'll update this event listing. For now, plan on coming out to check on our trees/wildflowers before winter sets in and to help keep the park clean!
